Laundry Room Cabinets

The utility room needed to do a lot in a small space — house the washing machine and dryer, hide the plumbing and ventilation, and still have room for storage. I designed and built the cabinets from scratch using Finnish birch plywood, which gives the room a warm and consistent look despite its functional nature. The worktop runs across the full width, with the machines tucked underneath and a small sink integrated on one side. Matte black handles keep the detailing simple.

The layout went through several iterations before settling on what works — tall storage on one side, open shelving above the worktop, and a closed compartment hiding the central heating unit and pipework behind a cabinet door.
