Globalance World

Globalance Bank, a Swiss private bank operating globally, has developed a proprietary algorithm showing the impact of a clients investment portfolio beyond financial gain. It provides aggregated insights on its effect on the climate warming potential, its footprint and across nine distinct megatrends. Globalance Bank asked CLEVER°FRANKE to translate the data and underlying algorithm into a unique personalized digital world map that invites their clients to discover the impact and returns of their wealth in an intuitive and inspiring way.

With a 3D interactive globe at its core, the final platform provides a compelling user experience, inviting the user to explore their portfolio across the four different dimensions: climate, footprint, megatrends and financials. By representing each asset with a data driven pebble-shape, we developed a recognizable visual language which we applied throughout the platform. Combined with an extensive search, compare functionality and two unique asset views (the pebble map and cityscape), we covered a multitude of different use-cases.

As a product owner, my primary responsibility was to safeguard the product vision while delivering a high-quality, mature product within the allocated time and budget. In addition, I advised on possible strategies and revenue models for future versions of the platform. Managing, educating and guiding both the client and internal team on what it means to design and develop such a complex platform was essential to make this a success. The platform was successfully launched and received multiple awards, including the Dutch Design Award, two European Design Awards, and a Red Dot design award.
